Ender’s Game (November 1, 2013)

OK, we know that most of the movies on our list are adaptations of YA novels, but we just can’t help it — they all look so good! This next flick we’re excited for is Ender’s Game. This book was actually published back in 1985, and has taken this long to get to the big screen due to its complex nature. Starring Hugo‘s Asa Butterfield, Abigail Breslin, Hailee Steinfeld, and Harrison Ford, it’s about a gifted young boy (Asa) who is recruited to a special school to help fight off an alien attack.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (November 22, 2013)

Last, but certainly not least, it’s The Hunger Games: Catching Fire! Though we’ve seen sneak peeks of the cast filming in Atlanta and Hawaii, we just can’t wait to see this movie hit the big screen. Obviously the first one was great, but we’re excited to see the cast back in action (Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, etc), as well as the new additions (Jena Malone as Johanna Mason, Sam Claflin as Finnick Odair), and Francis Lawrence (the new director) bring CF to the big screen.
